Club Med claims to have created the world’s first crowd-sourced resort in Val Thorens. An interactive Facebook app – My Val Thorens – allows users to help design the resort before its official opening in December. Users of the app are able to vote for a range of features to create the resort’s “identity and lifestyle”. They will be able to submit eight votes around the resort’s features every two weeks, including logo, interior design, dress codes and the activities which will be available. The app also allows its users to explore the resort as they vote.

Club Med fans are able to vote through the app until May 1. Each vote will enter users into a draw on May 17 to win a week’s holiday for two at the new resort during its opening event in December. Users can increase their chance of winning by inviting their Facebook friends to take part in the app as well. Fifty runners-up of the competition will receive Club Med T-shirts. The Val Thorens property is is set to become the flagship snow destination for Club Med, offering doorstep access to the Alps.
